Welcome to TAPNA

TAPNA – Toxicology And Poisons Network Australasia Incorporated, is a collaboration of health care professionals working within the fields of poisons information and clinical toxicology.

The group comprises of medical specialists and trainees working in hospital-based clinical toxicology units. It also includes poisons information specialists who usually come from a pharmacy-based background. The poisons information specialists provide advice and information to both health professionals and members of the public who make telephone enquiries about acutely poisoned cases.

Poisons information specialists can also facilitate the involvement of a clinical toxicologist in particular cases in a healthcare facility where specialist consultation is felt appropriate.

Toxicology Communications is the official Journal of TAPNA.
TAPNA are delighted to announce a formal partnership with Toxicology Communications. Since 2019, Toxicology Communications have supported TAPNA through the publication of the abstracts from the Annual ASM and we look forward to continuing this relationship.
